Hanna Leroy "Andy (HLA)"  Anderson
ANDERSON, Hanna Leroy, born October 21, 1928 in Meridian, Texas to Roy and Vera Anderson. Passed away December 21, 2017 in Tucson, Arizona after a courageous battle with cancer. Andy (HLA) was employed by Southern Pacific Railroad for 39 years as a telegraph operator, dispatcher and Chief Dispatcher. In his retirement years he loved to golf (a member of the FA-GAW-Wee golf club), fishing, spending time with family and traveling. He was a proud member of ConnectionPointe Church. Preceded in death by his parents, wife of 59 years Ophelia, grandson, Joshua and granddaughter, LaSchelle. Survived by their children, Johnny (Loretta), Glenn (Jody), Michael (Deslie) and Pamela (Michael). Grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Ryan, Tammie, Jason, Cody, Kimberly, Samantha, Kaylei and Melissa. 13 great-grandchildren and on the way has two great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A Memorial will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at ConnectionPointe Church at 4314 N. Romero Rd, Tucson, Arizona, 85705. The funeral will be held in Cuervo, New Mexico in late spring/early summer of 2018. We want to give our sincere thanks to his friends and Harmony Hospice for their care and support during our time of need. Arrangements by DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME
