Condolence: I shared many adventures with Joyce, first as docents at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Then as friends and hiking buddies, we shared adventures from morning walks up Pontatoc Canyon to hiking in the Swiss Alps. A special memory from Switzerland was our overnight trek over the Hohturli pass, staying at the Swiss Alpine Club Blumlisalp Hut along with our Swiss friend Renate. John and Jill also shared in some of our Swiss Hiking Adventures. Our cross-country ski trips to Yellowstone and to the North rim of the Grand Canyon gave Bill & John time to share their experiences as UA professors. An exciting time was Joyce's helicopter ride out of Aravaipa Canyon with a broken ankle! We missed them when they moved to Colorado, and we will continue to think of them fondly. Our deepest sympathy to Mike, Jill, Beth, and families.

Condolence: We are so sad to hear of the passing of John and Joyce. They were lovely neighbors. I got to know Joyce through our morning walks around Vista San Juan with the dogs, sweet Bentley and Dolly, then Cowgirl. Loved our long talks. Bill worked on the "architectural committee" with John.

They are missed.
